Our Story


Paddle Hamptons was formed by husband and wife team, Daniel and Elyse Curro. Taking their passion for the water and their experience with paddling, surfing, yoga and fitness, they created Paddle Hamptons to share this connection to the water with others.

Committed to creating classes that are enjoyable and safe, Paddle Hamptons is dedicated to help you enjoy your experience to the fullest.

Meet the Team

Dan Curro, Founder

Dan Curro is a waterman. Born and raised on the Eastern End of Long Island, he has taken full advantage of all the wonderful things that the ocean has to offer. Surfing, spearfishing, kitesurfing and paddle boarding have all been a major part of his life. His passion for these have been a vehicle for him to travel around the world.

While living in Kauai, Dan took up the Hawaiian sport of outrigger canoe paddling. There he paddled with the Hanalei Canoe Club and participated in races throughout the island. Dan is excited to have purchased a Hawaiian outrigger canoe and share his love for the water and paddling with others.


Elyse Madsen curro, co-Founder

Elyse majored in dance at Hunter College and holds a BFA in Arts Management, with a concentration in dance, from Long Island University. She was introduced to yoga in college and continued her practice while dancing professionally.

By finding yoga to be very connected to dance and its movements, Elyse furthered her yoga education and became a certified yoga instructor. Additionally, in 2014, Elyse received her certification in SUP paddle board yoga.

With her love of the water and creative spirit, Elyse offers a class that playfully allows students to become more self­ aware of body alignment, breath and form.

bathing suit, shorts or any other comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting wet. Please do not forget to wear sunscreen. It is not recommended to wear sunglasses, as they could fall off during your practice.

Yoga on a stand-up paddle board! A unique, innovative way of bringing fitness to a new level. Vinyasa yoga on a paddle board combines strength and stability, while also enhancing your balance and flexibility.

Class will begin with a warm-up paddle to a tranquil cove. Participants then anchor their boards and flow through a led series of traditional vinyasa poses.

Enjoy the benefits of taking your practice to the water! All levels welcome, no experience necessary. Call ahead to reserve your spot in class. Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Offering sunrise, sunset fitness paddles and guided tours aboard a traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoe.  After a brief introduction on proper paddling technique and a brief history on the culture of the canoe, guests will enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Shinnecock Bay.

Whether you are looking to cruise and take In the sights, or get a great workout, the outrigger tours are for you!


Outrigger Guided tour

Guests will paddle to a location where they can participate in activities such as swimming, snorkeling, basic introduction to kitesurfing, or simply relaxing at this beautiful, secluded beach. Duration: 1.5 hours

Guests will take paddling an outrigger canoe to the next fitness level in this cardiovascular workout.  Duration: 1 hour

What is a Hawaiian outrigger surfing canoe?-  A surfing canoe is a four person, Hawaiian outrigger canoe, which is much shorter than the traditional six person outrigger. This allows the canoe to fit into the waves and enables you to have much more freedom to surf waves with control.

Would you love to catch a wave without having to learn how to surf?  Sign up for a surf canoe class and you will experience the thrill of catching waves without the need of a surfboard.  You will be taught about wave selection, surf etiquette and where waves come from.

Perfect for small groups or families.  The canoe can take 1, 2 or 3 guests out.  If you have a larger groups , your party can alternate turns from the beach to riding waves.

Dan will bring you to the best location for your group, depending on wind and weather conditions.  Call ahead and reserve your spot.

Must know how to swim. Duration- 2 hrs.  4+ guests- 2.5 hrs


SUP guided tour

Want to experience Stand-up paddle boarding?  Whether you are new to this sport, or have have had some practice, this class is designed to give you all the basics you will need to get started on a stand up paddle board. Class will begin on the beach where you will be given a demonstration on how to properly stand on the board and the correct techniques used for paddling. Guests will then head out to experience the beautiful Hampton's waterways.


Sup Fit


SUP FIT is Paddle Hampton’s new-featured fitness class. Taught entirely on the paddle board, we implement body weight exercises like planks, sit-ups, burpees, prone paddles and even plyo jumps!  Taking exercise outdoors and doing sprints and squats on the beach, makes this unique SUP FIT class like no other. Are you ready to get an amazing core conditioning workout and have fun at the same time?
